The Arc of Florida is thrilled to welcome families who are part of the Gardiner Scholarship Step Up for Students program. Many are coming from Hidden Potentials with Kathy Clinton and are excited that there will be no lapse in services during this transition. Step Up Families will find a plethora of resources and services as part of The Arc of Florida family. The Arc of Florida is an approved provider, able to provide part time tutoring for students throughout the state of Florida because of our statewide membership.
Are you interested in part time tutoring through the Gardiner scholarship program? Please email email@example.com or call 1.800.226.1155 for more information about how your child can receive academic support from Florida State certified teachers.
The U.S. Department of Labor, DOL, Division of Wage and Hour has issued the “DOL Homecare guide March 2016” for families using services covered by the DOL minimum wage and overtime rule.
For many families on the CDC+ waiver, this brochure will provide guidance on your responsibilities under the new rule.
The definition of who is exempt from paying minimum wage and overtime has been narrowed. If the person providing personal supports, respite or companion (Life Skills Development 1) services is administering medications, spending time assisting in bathing or feeding or doing household chores, then you should read this brochure to more fully understand if you now have additional responsibilities.
